Who is Billy Kidd
Billy Kidd is a Magician that excels in all types of magic performance. Her sleight of hand skills as a close up artist combined with her experience doing stage and street magic have allowed Billy to perform in Theatre's and on Television screens worldwide.
However magic wasn't always in the cards for Billy Kidd. She started performing professionally at the age of 11 as an Actor in theatre, film, and TV. Billy also conducted a professional Nose-Flute Ensemble that played to critical acclaim. With extensive classical training in dance (RAD), Music (RCM) and Acting (BFA), Billy finished her conservatory training and then saw her first street magician. She went into a deep depression realising she did Not want to become a magician, she Had to.
Within the first few months of her new career she became the face for O2's Load & Go advert. Shortly after she co-hosted Discovery Channel's Breaking Magic series which aired internationally to over 200 territories. She was also featured in ITV's Game of Talents & Next Great Magician, Channel 5's doc. When Magic Goes Horribly Wrong, BBC's Xmas Lectures and Now You See It series in the UK. In the USA Billy competed in Syfy's show Wizard Wars and after earning the only standing ovation from judges Penn & Teller she was suddenly cast as a Wizard regular for the rest of the series. Billy is also featured in Masters of Illusion on the CW Network, Making Magic series on Facebook Watch, Sleight of Hand for Topic TV , CBC's The Science of Magic. Billy divides her time equally between performing magic in close-up shows, corporate stage shows, Street Festivals, Television, Theatres and for Cruise Lines. Billy has captivated audiences in the USA, U.K, Ireland, Canada, Poland, Sweden, Japan, Dubai, Oman, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Spain, Australia, Turkey, Kuwait, Switzerland, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, China and the Philippines. She was also a regular performer in the show Wonderville in London's West End.
Billy was recipient of the Allan Slaight Award for International Rising Star in 2021. When she is not touring the world she performs weekly at Krowd Keepers Magic Theatre in Bath, England .
